My computer has been really slow and i need to Get rid or spam what type of Programs should i use?

I use Ad-Aware for spy ware on my system and it seems to work real well for me. http://www.lavasoftusa.com/ Also AVG anti Virus, http://www.grisoft.com/doc/1/0/0/0

Both have a free version as well as one you can buy, check out the free one and see if that clears up some spyware junk

If you don't wana DL programs like that you can try Trend Micro COmputer's online virus scan too at http://housecall.trendmicro.com/

HapXL hit the nail on the head, but I'd like to add something. In addition to ad-aware i also run spybot http://www.download.com/3000-2144-10122137.html

it seems like whatever one misses, the other will find.

Spybot is also another good program.

I'll third spybot. it's always been great for me.

also, going to Control panel --> Add/Remove programs is a good way to rid your system of some unwanted software

Download Hijackthis

http://www.spywareinfo.com/~merijn/programs.php

Run it and make it create a log

then post the log in here

http://www.help2go.com/component/detective/

And it'll tell you a few things you can do to help against spyware

SUPERAntiSpyware is also a very good one. Had some nasty spyware that others would not remove, but this did.

Another vote for adaware. It's not one of those programs that will tell you how many spam / adware / spyware apps are on your machine then tell you for 29.99 it'll remove them .. hate those.
