Well, I can offer my advice, don't know if it will help.

When I go down on my girlfriend, before I go straight to the pussy, I do plenty of teasing, licking around the pelvis area and the thighs. after about 4-5 minutes of that I go to the clit area and get to work. rolling the tongue seems to get a good response out of her.

This is very true. My GF doesn't dislike being eaten but it doesn't necessarily do a lot for her either.
